Malcolm Minaudière: Prototype #2

$395.00Price

Part of the Negro Narratives collection, Prototypes #2 + #3 extend the vision first introduced at Art Basel Miami 2024. Each minaudière holds a vintage cassette recording of a Malcolm X speech—transformed into a radical, hand-held archive.

Prototype #2 carries “The Last Message of Malcolm X”—wrapped in iridescent trim, braided detailing, and a bold woven strap. A soft power peace (sp), built to move with the quiet weight of revolution.

Prototype #3 features Minister Louis Farrakhan’s “The Terrible Condition of Black People: Solution to Problems”, recorded in Michigan—the same state where the Charles H. Wright Museum keeps Black memory alive at scale. With its tortoiseshell handle, amber chains, and structured silhouette, it channels both urgency and intention.
